After the airing of the new season of The Crown on Netflix, many viewers say their opinion of the Royal Family has vastly improved regardless of critics opinion regarding the depiction of the Royal Family.

If you have been a loyal viewer from season one, you will know although entertaining, the content of The Crown isn’t always true to real life and does exaggerate actual events that occurred in the Royal Families Lives but does show us information about the specific’s of the Family which we may have not known before. For example, the struggles that our Queen Elizabeth undertook throughout her early days as queen, being out in a rather unfair position of choosing between her sisters happiness or ‘The Crown’, portraying to the audience the personal and somewhat normal situations the Queen undertakes becoming more of a personal relationship with the Queen herself and therefore improving the opinion of The Royal Family.

I think we can all agree, as a viewer of the series, that although we do learn more about the depiction of the royal Family, there is also no sugar coating of some truths of The Royal Family. As an audience, we learn about the truths of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip’s relationship along with season four and Prince Charles contact with Camilla during his relationship with Princess Diana even if some events explained are exaggerated, we still learn facts about the Family we did not know before. This is a positive thing right?

Netflix’s ‘The Crown’, has improved many opinions of The Royal Family, we learn things that we have not been exposed to prior to the series, we undertsand that The Royal Family are exposed to struggles just like the average person and therefore engages us to learn more about our Royal Family. Large events we can remember, even if not alive to see them ourselves but will have heard from our older relatives, have been portrayed to us on The Crown, in order to educate us further, inform us and entertain the audience in ordee for the public to be more invloved in Thne Royal Family itself and also enjoy learning about their amazing lives!
